The Rock Roadmap

Hey Guys,

We hope you are keeping well and staying safe during this challenging time.

We really miss seeing you all face to face but we understand how important it is right now to all work together to reduce risk and stop the virus overwhelming our NHS service. 

After the Government announcement this weekend, we are very happy to hear that everyone is allowed unlimited outdoor exercise and as always we are working hard behind the scenes to build a roadmap to get everyone training again in accordance with the guidelines  

Below is our proposed Roadmap of 3 stages with details of how we hope to keep everyone training as much as possible, but in the safest way.

Stage I – 13th May to end of May (proposed)  
Live/Online Members Platform 

The Live Platform will continue as it is until we have established a new training programme that everyone can use safely in person. Even once we are allowed to begin opening up more options, we understand some of you may still prefer to train at home, so the Live Platform will continue, although we may make some alterations to it once we go into Stage II.  We respect your input and will keep you fully informed on any changes as we get more information.

We have loved seeing you all join the Live sessions during lockdown, and would like to thank you all for your loyalty at this time, it is so appreciated.  

Stage II – 1st June (proposed) 
1:2:1 Personal Training – Outside  

We are hoping that once we enter this phase we will be able to offer 1:2:1 training outside.  

Personal Training is our optimum package including goal specific programming, coaching, nutrition advice and recipes, mobility and home workouts. We will tailor the plans to suit you and to get results! 

All sessions will comply with social distancing and the careful and thorough cleaning of any equipment used.  

Group Personal Training – Outside  

We also hope to begin offering small Group PT session of up to 4 people. This will be outside and comply with social distancing rules and there will be no sharing of kit between clients in sessions.  

We are very lucky to have the large outdoor field at Offley Recreation Centre and the new ROCK YARD to run both 1:2:1 and group sessions, which means we can offer these earlier than most gyms will be able to re-open.  Personal training packages are available for pre-booking now so if you wish to book slots please contact Lisa for availability.

If you are high risk and wish to discuss our plans for these sessions in more detail please drop Lisa a message.  We are also very happy for you to wear PPE if you feel safer.

ROCK BLOKS  – Small Group Classes – Outside  

As we are unable to offer large group training classes, within Stage II we will offer Small Group Classes, of up to 4 people, following guidelines from the government.

The classes will be available to book in 4 week blocks of 2 or 3 sessions per week at pre-scheduled times. We cannot yet offer a booking system where you book onto the classes in the same way you could pre Covid-19 so the Rock Bloks will run during Stage II as an affordable option if Personal Training is not suitable, and will take place at Offley Rec and the Rock Yard.

This is not the same package as PT and all sessions are programed for everyone as a group class not PT session.  

These classes will include: 

  • Training – HIIT, STRENGTH, BOOTCAMP, METCON 
  • Nutrition – A recipe book and general food plan to follow  
  • Cost – To be confirmed, depending on how many clients we are allowed to book onto each group safely 


Stage III – Date unknown as yet  
Gym sessions – Rock Studio – Inside

We envisage that indoor sessions will be the last to start up again, so we will let you know in due course once this is allowed. Rock Studio group classes and gym sessions will not be open to the public for training until we are informed by the government that it is safe to do so.

Personal Training – PT PODS – Inside

We are creating PT PODS to ensure you will be able to train inside, but in separate areas and will have minimal footfall through the area. All spaces will be cleaned prior and post session and you will be required to wash your hands before entering plus complete a disclaimer regarding your health/symptoms on that day.

Rock Your Body Transformations – Inside

Rock Your Body will commence once we are allowed to run larger group training.  We will be following guidelines closely, so rest assured we will let you know once we can start to take bookings.

Please be assured we will do everything within our power to help you get back to training as safely as possible. We are in an ever changing, unprecedented situation and your health and safety as well as that of our staff if our main priority
